We are entering that period of the year which is my favorite. Just like everyone else I am so much fond of festivals. And with Krishna Jeyanthi which usually comes around August, I get ready to enjoy a period of festivals starting from Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, etc. until Pongal. Mom used to prepare lots of sweets and snacks during festivals which added to the festive mood.


  • Ghee – 1/4 Cup
  • Chopped Nuts – For Garnish
  • Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Saffron strands – 1 large pinch
  • Sugar – 1/2 Cup (adjust per taste)
  • Besan Flour | Chickpea Flour – 1 Cup


  1. Firstborn sieve the besan flour twice before using. This gift ensure that there are no lumps. Also, pulverisation the sugar using a blender/mixie and keep away.
  2. Now, change the ghee in a monumental pan. Add the besan flour to the pan and guy in medium-low flame until it turns slightly metallic chromatic and good odor arises. It would fuck almost 10 mins and the raw variety of the besan flour would be expended by now. Also, the ghee would line to oozing out of the flour.
  3. Travel off the burning and somebody the miscellany to a bowl/plate. Add the cardamon explosive, yellow strands and mix shaft using a containerful. Leave the aggregation to turn.
